Supervision
I am a BACP accredited individual and group supervisor with a Diploma in Individual and Group Supervision gained in 2002 from Cascade Training Associates which covers counselling supervision as well as clinical supervision practice. My supervision training was integrative, predominantly using Inskipp and Proctor's model of supervision. Thus, what is most important to me is to establish a sound, collegial working alliance so that supervisees can feel heard, supported, respected and contained all within BACP's ethical framework.Previous Experience
I have supervised a large number of trainee counsellors, starting from offering them a placement at the Chilston Project in 1999, going on to becoming an in-house supervisor for the Inter-Psyche training course in Dartford in 2006, whilst always also seeing trainees in my private practice.
Whilst at the Hospice in the Weald, I supervised a team of bereavement counsellors both individually and in a group. I also supervised a team of specialist nurses at another.
In addition, I supervised a team of NHS counsellors in East Sussex, both individually and in a group for six years.
Throughout the last 10 years, I have continued to supervise in my private practice as well.
Current Practice
I am currently supervising a diverse range of counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors who work in a range of organisations as well as in private practice.
I would be very happy to discuss your supervisory needs with you, whether you are a trainee or qualified counsellor, psychotherapist or, indeed, in an allied profession and seeking clinical supervision.
